Drop trailer programs
Load on your schedule. Not the driver's.
With a trailer pre-staged at your dock, your team loads when it's ready and the driver hooks and goes. Less detention, fewer missed appointments, a steadier outbound flow.
What we move
- Recurring outbound lanes from plants and warehouses
- Shippers with variable or slow loading times
- Facilities paying regular detention
- Live-unload customers that want to switch to drop
- Dedicated lane programs with consistent volume
What we need to set it up

Common questions
How many loads do I need for a drop program?
Drop trailers work best on recurring freight — usually several loads a week on the same lane. Tell us your volume and we'll tell you honestly if it fits.
Whose trailers are used?
Trailers come from the carrier or the Landstar trailing equipment pool depending on the lane and volume. We'll confirm availability for your lanes before you commit.
Can I mix drop and live loads?
Yes. Many shippers drop on their steady lanes and live-load everything else.
Want to stop paying detention?
Send lane, dates, commodity, weight and equipment. You'll get a rate and a straight answer on capacity — usually same day.
