Hazardous materials
Hazmat freight with the paperwork, placards and carriers to match.
Hazmat isn't a checkbox. We confirm the class, packaging and carrier qualifications before we quote — so the truck that shows up is legally and practically able to haul it.
What we move
- Packaged hazmat in dry vans
- Industrial chemicals, coatings and adhesives
- Batteries and battery components
- Placarded and non-placarded quantities
- Mixed loads that include hazardous items
What we need to quote it
- Hazard class and UN number
- Packing group and packaging type (drums, totes, cases)
- Total weight and whether placards are required
- Safety Data Sheet (SDS)
- Origin, destination and pickup window
Common questions
Do you haul every hazmat class?
Not every class fits every carrier. Send the class and UN number first and we'll confirm whether we can cover it the right way before you commit.
Are your carriers hazmat-authorized?
Every hazmat load goes to a carrier with the required operating authority, insurance and a hazmat-endorsed driver.
Who provides the shipping papers?
The shipper provides properly prepared hazmat shipping papers and emergency response information. We'll make sure the carrier has what it needs before pickup.
Have a hazmat load to price?
Send lane, dates, commodity, weight and equipment. You'll get a rate and a straight answer on capacity — usually same day.
